A comprehensive Agenda
10:00am - 4:00pm (registration and coffee from 9:30am) Walk through BS EN13849-1 • Basic structure and terminology • Relation with the legislative requirements • Basic process guideline • Worked example using a simple safety function Sistema Workshop • Basic introduction to the workspace • development of a safety function using basic electro-mechanical and complex components • Identification of sub system blocks from an electrical layout • Transfer of the sub system block to Sistema. • Open discussion - use of customer real examples
Optional 2nd Day 09:00am - 1:00pm (lunch included) Functional Safety - Safety related application software • Outline of the requirements BS EN13849-1 • Definition of Functional Safety Specification using a simplified Robot Cell • Example Functional Safety Matrix & Logic Diagram • Verification & Validation
The workshop, presented by our qualified trainers, is designed to give engineers a good understanding of the principles behind the functional safety standard EN ISO 13849 (Safety of machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems). Practical examples are used to work through the key performance requirements of the standard and enable participants to converse with others on all aspects of machine safety.
