Waste gases produced during Oil & Gas refining process is a major source of producing Sulphur. Efficient Sulphur recovery process is very important to the operation of plant and there are strict environmental legislation that restricts total Sulphur emissions. Additionally reducing the Sulphur content of refinery products is essential for a modern day refinery. This demands efficient Sulphur removal from feed streams & increasing SRU capacity in refineries. Optimum and reliable emission monitoring of the Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) using conventional methods is difficult and subjected to many challenges.

David has approximately 25 years experience in gas analysis, having started back in 1993. In 2009, David joined SICK, primarily supporting the establishment of the gas analytical & flow businesses within subsidiaries in Turkey and India. His current focus is on developing analytical applications within the Chemical, Petrochemical & Refining industries. David is based out of Prague, Czech Republic, a location which enables him to keep in close contact with the four production sites of Sick AG in Germany.
