The Art of Tetris: A LifeTime Service Technician @ SICK

2023 began with a flight to Bloomington, Minneapolis for a one-week technical training as over 200 employees in SICKs’ LifeTime Services team gathered for an intense weeklong in person training. It has been over 3 years since collegues have been able to connect live from across North America.

Milad Tousi an Industrial Automation Specialist with SICK Canadas' logistics automation business concentrates on airports, distribution centers, courier, express, parcel and postal service providers. In all these areas Milad installs SICK’s intelligent sensors to shape and optimize the entire logistics chain, whether automating material flow processes or increasing the speed, efficiency, and reliability of sorting, picking, and warehousing processes.

Helping Customers solve everyday challenges

Helping customers solve their everyday challenges is rewarding from troubleshooting airport systems or installing a new system to identifying obstructions and coming up with an immediate solution to help our customers succeed” says Milad.  Optimization of palletizing and depalletizing processes requires careful planning and maybe even a certain talent for Tetris but what Milad enjoys about his career is the element of surprise, from assessing the root cause of a system issue to the configuration of software and SICK devices.
